Anytime I get the opportunity to review and feature tasty and organic gluten-free products for kids, I get so excited! Nature’s Path Envirokidz products have always been a great choice for my little ones so I was especially looking forward to sharing these new products with them.
I grew up in a house where cold cereal was a very rare treat. I can still remember getting so excited when my mom would bring home a box of cereal and it wasn’t even the super sugary stuff. We NEVER saw that in the house. My mom was great about making hot breakfast everyday. It ranged from eggs and toast (we weren’t gluten-free back then) to hot cereal with brown rice syrup drizzled over top. As I have grown and have my own kids, I have tried really hard to continue this tradition of cooking hot breakfasts most days of the week. Let’s face it though, life is busier now than ever and that doesn’t always work. I enjoy knowing that I have a quick option for my kids that they, like I used too, get excited about because it is a “treat”. As momma, I love the ingredient list of Envirokidz gluten-free cereals and feel just fine with putting a bowl before them for breakfast. Served with organic milk and a side of fruit, this is a great way for little ones to start the day. These cereals are organic, non-GMO project verified and certified gluten-free. It can’t get better than that! I still remember the first Envirokidz cereal I tried, Panda Puffs. Those peanut buttery little bites of cereal Heaven got me hooked. These NEW flavors, chocolate choco chimps and cinnamon jungle munch deliver that same delicious taste I remember from the Panda Puffs. My boys loved the flavor of both but especially enjoyed that their milk turned to chocolate milk after enjoying a bowl of the choco chimps flavor. For my little one who doesn’t particularly like to drink milk, this got him to drink it up once his cereal was gone. My husband and I also enjoyed the cereal and had a hard time trying to remember that we needed to save it for the kids to enjoy.
In addition to these tasty cereals, Nature’s Path offers a large variety of gluten-free products including hot oatmeals, granola bars and crispy rice snack bars. This is a company I am happy to support as they support great causes as well. In fact, 1% of all their Envirokidz sales goes back to environmental group organizations. “EnviroKidz donates one percent of sales annually to endangered species, habitat conservation and environmental education for kidz”. They have already give 1.4 million dollars!
