I am very excited to introduce you all to this gluten-free blogger. Sarah of Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats, is such a talented woman. She comes up with the most delicious recipes to share and her photography skills make you want to lick your computer while reading them! One of my favorite things is that she created her own flour blend, that you can do at home, to make her tasty treats with. Sarah’s blog is definitely one you will want to bookmark. So I know introduce you to Sarah!
Please tell everyone a little about yourself.
I’ve had a love for baking for as long as I can remember. Always in the kitchen making yummy treats. For the past 3 years, I have been baking 100% gluten free. My husband, Kevin, is my biggest support and encourager. Love him! We have two children, Kyri (7) and Kaden (4). Kevin has celiac disease and both my son and I have a gluten allergy. It was quite the adventure, learning how to transition over to gluten free baking. There have been highs and lows, but it has been an amazing journey!
Please tell me about your gluten-free blog.
I’m the baker/blogger over at Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats. All of my recipes are gluten free and many of them are vegan as well (egg/dairy free). From cupcakes, to muffins, to cakes and cookies. I’ve got a little something for everyone. My passion is to share delicious gluten free recipes with others so that they can also have the confidence to bake again!
How long have you been blogging?
I started Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats in May 2012.
Why did you start a gluten-free blog?
Everyone knew me as “the baker” and I was constantly being asked for my recipes. I decided it was finally time to start a place where I could share my recipes and my heart for baking. I am so glad I did! It has been such a huge blessing in my life and I’m so thankful to be a part of this fabulous gluten free community!
What makes your blog different than anyone else?
My goal with my blog is one thing…to show others that baking gluten free can be AMAZING! I know personally how hard it was to learn how to bake all over again. Well, I’ve done the hard part with all the recipe testing. Now my readers can enjoy delicious gluten free treats too!
What would you like to see with your gluten-free blog in the future?
I love sharing guests posts by other gluten free bloggers! I would like to start doing more regularly, sharing those amazing bloggers and their fabulous recipes with my readers.
What do you love about gluten-free blogging most?
The obvious would be all the recipe testing I get to do (and taste testing), but really it’s much more than that. I love receiving personal messages from those that have made my recipes. Hearing how thankful they are that they’ve found recipes that not only taste great, but that work for them and their family. That’s where the true joy comes from.
Do you do giveaways? If so, what was your favorite giveaway?
I don’t focus too much on giveaways on my blog, but I do enjoy doing them from time to time. When there is a product that I use with my baking, I love sharing it with others!
