My real name is Brynne, but I love being known as Gluten-Free Hungry Girl in the gluten-free community. I am a midwestern girl, born and raised, who loves to eat. I work by day as a marketing specialist at a local community college, and I spend my evenings attending grad school and, of course, blogging. I am lucky to be married to the man of my dreams, who has been by my side through my diagnosis of Celiac Disease and entire gluten-free journey. We met in college, while swimming Division I at Missouri State University. Go Bears!
Please tell me about your gluten-free blog.
I share recipes, restaurant and product reviews, and personal experiences on my blog. I want to show people that eating gluten-free is not the end of the world. Gluten-free eaters can enjoy any food they want! They just need to find a recipe that works for them.
How long have you been blogging?
I started my blog the first week I went gluten-free, which was February of 2012.
Why did you start a gluten-free blog?
Writing has always been a passion of mine, so it just felt natural to tell my family and friends about my diagnosis of Celiac Disease through a blog. Since then, my blog has spread through the gluten-free community and beyond.
What makes your blog different than anyone?
I think my blog is unique, because I am not the traditional food blogger. Before I went gluten-free, I never spent any time in the kitchen. I ate out a lot and made the easiest things possible for my meals, like pasta or sandwiches. My blog aims to show readers that there are easy ways to eat gluten-free. It’s all about convenience for me, and I want to share that with my readers.
What would you like to see with your gluten-free blog in the future?
Like every blogger, I want to see my blog continue to grow. I have big dreams about it’s potential. I want to become more connected in the gluten-free community and recognized as an industry leader.
What do you love about gluten-free blogging most?
More than anything, I love that gluten-free blogging has given me the opportunity to connect with other gluten-free eaters. It is nice to know that I am not alone in this journey – I have a community of people there to support me.
Do you do giveaways? If so, what was your favorite giveaway?
I haven’t had any giveaways yet, but I hope to in the near future. As my blog grows, I’d like to spread the gluten-free love!
Tell me some of your favorite gluten-free blogs that you read.
I could go on and on about gluten-free blogs that I love. If I had to pick a few, I’d say Gluten-Free Gus, Gluten Hates Me, Celiac and the Beast, and Celiac in the City.
How can people find you?
