Vicky Pearl’s Gluten-Free Goes Gourmet cookbook is a beautifully put together collection of fantastic corn-free, dairy-free, low-glycemic, kosher and of course gluten-free recipes. There are over 100 fantastic recipes each with it’s own color photo (which I LOVE)! These beautiful photographs really get you excited to create what she has put in front of you, for your own family. In addition there are great guides for helping you choose gluten-free grains to use. There are also many tips throughout the book that help you understand the ingredients going into the recipes better and why they have nutritional value. From white rolls and meatballs to rugelach and kugel, this book provides you with a fascinating array of gluten-free recipes to create in your own home. I made these sweet carrots because I always loved ordering them at restaurants but never quite nailed making them at home. They were fantastic! The perfect side to our meal and potato meal.

You Still Won’t Believe It’s Gluten-Free! from Roben Ryberg is a great cookbook for those looking for more recipes to add to weekly or monthly meal plans. Roben does a great job at providing classics as well as some new twist recipes. She makes each one easy to follow and gives great tips. Her recipes are definitely ones the whole family will enjoy. Just like her other book I received years ago, Gluten Free in 5 Minutes, Roben provides delicious recipes that will make even the newest gluten-free cook feel like a pro. Roben helps you with your pantry, shopping and creating a safe kitchen in addition to providing great recipes like onion rings, light cake donuts, naan, chicken tetrazzini and apple turnovers…yum right?! I tell you, her book will help you transform those recipes you used to enjoy before going gluten-free to now meet your dietary needs of today. I highly recommend this cookbook for any gluten-free kitchen!
