If you are involved with gluten-free or celiac related social media than you know this weeks featured blogger. Gluten Dude has rallied for our community numerous times when the media has put us down or belittled us. He is full of snark and sarcasm but has the biggest heart full of love for those in the celiac community. So, let me introduce you to Gluten Dude…

Please tell everyone a little about yourself.

I’m a forty-something, self-employed, happily married father of two teenage girls. My life is a bit crazy…and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Please tell me about your gluten-free blog. is a place where people can come to commiserate, rant, share, learn and most importantly, laugh.
How long have you been blogging?

I started my blog in October 2011. I’m only on my first cup of coffee so I’ll let you do the math.
Why did you start a gluten-free blog?

Personal therapy I suppose.
What makes your blog different than anyone else’s?

First off, I’d say that 95% of gluten-free blogs are run by women so that immediately puts me in a small group. But mostly, it’s not a blog that has recipes and reviews and that celebrates living gluten-free. It’s more of a “I hate having celiac disease…so do you. So let’s share this journey together.”
What would you like to see with your gluten-free blog in the future?

I’d just like to see it continue to grow. The blog gets over 100,000 page views per month and I love the fact that I’m reaching that many people. But there are still so many more out there.
What do you love about gluten-free blogging most?

I love the personal connection and that I have a space where people can be themselves. I absolutely adore the gluten-free community and I think it’s totally cool that my blog has helped so many.
Do you do giveaways? If so, what was your favorite giveaway? isn’t really a giveaway kind of blog. The closest thing I did was I awarded a $100 PF Chang’s gift card. In order to be eligible you had to write a letter to gluten. The letters were absolutely fantastic (

I’m afraid to offend anybody or leave somebody out. Let’s just say there are some amazing bloggers out there.
