Mayacamas Feature and GIVEAWAY!!

I have been SO impressed with Mayacamas wonderful line of spices, sauce and dip mixes. The best part is that there are REAL ingredients in each package. I’ve gotten used to looking at these kinds of mixes with an ingredient list that is filled with MSG, dextrose and other ingredients that I think are harmful to our bodies. Mayacamas has a full line of products that make cooking a sinch…especially in a pinch! Yeah I know, I am a cheeseball. 😉

Here are some of the great products that they offer.

Soups: PotatoLeek, Tomato, Lentil Mushroom and French Onion which I mixed in with sour cream to make a fabulous french onion dip for pork and veggies. I was SO excited for this packet especially since I have really missed this easy to make dip. It was full of flavor and really boosted by usual plate of raw veggies for snack. This is a must for every gluten free pantry in my opinion.

Pasta Sauces: Pesto, Creamy Pesto, Creamy Clam, Chicken Fettuccini and Alfredo, which we REALLY enjoyed. For the Alfredo, we didn’t have parmesan and still thought the flavor was great. This was an excellent way for us to enjoy a tasty dinner when we were short on time. Poured over brown rice pasta and shredded chicken added it was a complete meal.

Gravies: Brown, Savory Herb, Turkey and Chicken which we used to make homemade biscuits and gravy. I had a leftover rotisserie chicken that I shredded chicken from and added it to the gravy before pouring over Pamela’s Products biscuits that I made. My hubby especially loved this meal as he thought it was substantial but not too heavy and full of great flavor. I added some fresh parsley and onion/garlic salt to up this meal even more. Again, this was a great way to make a nice meal in a very short amount of time. I think that is what I love most about these packets, they make cooking fast, delicious too!

Skillet Tosses: Black Olive Pesto, Green Olive Pesto, Seafood Pasta, Spicy Pasta, Garden Style and Dried Tomato. Each of these was so tasty and made for a perfect, light summer pasta salad. I liked not having to think about what I would add and be able to just toss these packets with my gluten free pasta and viola! A delicious dish that your friends and family will think you put lots of thought into.

Seasoning Blends: Savory Salt, Chicken BBQ, Salad Delight and Curry Blend. I enjoyed the savory salt so much. It reminded me of the famous seasoning that The Melting Pot has that everyone loves. It really boosts any meal.

Gourmet Sauces: I thought this Hollandaise Sauce was very tasty. With the slight lemon flavor it added we decided to turn it into a lemon chicken dish. Our guests from that evenings dinner (who aren’t gluten free) really enjoyed it as well.

Mayacamas is apparently out of business, I placed an order in late November 2014 and although they immediately charged me, they failed to respond to repeated phone calls and emails. Never received my order, of course.

That is so horrible, I am sorry to hear that. I had the same problem with them never sending my winner their prize. Did you call the BBB?

      • Jeremy Jeremy

No, they’re out of state, my bank refunded my money, so I’ll walk away from it. Too bad, they had a nice product. Can you recommend any other dried/powdered soups?
