Goldbaums offers a variety of gluten free products. We recently reviewed some, here are our thoughts.
Chow Mein Noodles: YES you read that right! This is the ONLY gluten free chow mein noodle I have every seen and I about died when I opened the package to it right on top. It is so fun to see a product you haven’t had in years due to celiac disease, now available in a gluten free version. I have adapted my Chinese Noodle Casserole recipe to use gluten free pretzels instead of chow mein noodles since they weren’t available so I was excited to try them. The crunch was nice and flavor was also good. The only thing I did learn that you can now take so as not to make the same mistake, they do get soggy if in cream or moisture for too long. So for this casserole I would suggest just adding them to the top for your crunch rather than mixing them in. For salads and other dishes that don’t require they sit in moisture for a long period of time, these gluten free chow mein noodles will give a great crunch.
Ice cream cones: The taste was great with just the right amount of sweetness and vanilla flavor. The sugar cones were very fragile, which is to be expected. We especially loved the giant version of their gluten free cone. It was so fun to eat from! I just love that all these gluten free items are becoming available to us. We are grateful to all the wonderful companies like Goldbaums who are making it possible.
Goldbaums Gluten Free Pasta: This pasta is just like the real deal and fooled my entire family when my husband made his famous chicken spaghetti dish the other night. Excellent texture and taste. I will gladly use this pasta again.
