If you read this blog often then you already know how much I LOVE El’s Kitchen products. They are so incredibly tasty and full of flavor! Chandice: What started it all with El’s Kitchen?

El: In the late 90′s my best friend from childhood, Rita, was diagnosed with celiac disease. There wasn’t as much to choose from then for gluten free products, especially tasty ones. We were currently making the spice rubs and decided to flavor a gluten free snack rub with it and that’s where it began. Rita and her husband Brian who doesn’t have celiac disease loved them. His approval really helped us realize that we had a great product.

Chandice: You began with the bagel chips and original medleys. What was your inspiration for the new flavors?

El: Since everyone’s tastes are different we wanted to make sure we offered the “real deal” kind of flavors that were offered in other snacks out there and would be safe and available to those living gluten free.

Chandice: What is next for El’s Kitchen?

El: New bagel chip flavors! Garlic and Rosemary, Cinnamon and Sugar and Simply Sea Salt. We hoped to roll them all out at the same time but we want to be completely satisfied with each recipe so chances are they will be released one at a time.

Chandice: Is there anything else you would like to add?

El: Keep the e-mails coming! We love hearing customer feedback good and bad and do our very best to get back to all feedback as quickly as possible.

I have to say that it was a lovely conversation. I already knew after working with Jo at El’s Kitchen that I loved this company and their passion. Speaking with El just reiterated what I already knew, that this company was built on pure passion and desire to serve the gluten free and celiac communities to the best of their ability. I have to say that the mini bags of snacks are AWESOME stocking stuffers and on the go snacks!!

As if we weren’t lucky to have two flavors of El’s Products, we now get to experience TWO new flavors! Sour cream and onion and cheddar versions of the Medley’s are now available. I have to say that both were great but the Sour cream and onion was just perfect! Nice bold flavor and crunch, without feeling to overwhelming. These delicious snacks come in a perfect 5oz. size bag just right for taking on the road or enjoying at home. The bagel chips are also great and something that is especially tummy friendly if you feel a little under the weather and needing something just right for your upset stomach.
