#21 of the 25 Days of Gluten Free Giveaways featuring: Bob’s Red Mill!!

I’ve enjoyed many of the gluten-free products Bob’s Red Mill offers. As many of you know, I have used them in lots of my recipes and have featured this great company before during our 25 Days of Christmas Cookies (gluten-free of course!) and other events. Bob’s Red Mill products are very tasty and come from quality ingredients, many of which are certified organic. Here are some of my specific reviews.

The chocolate chip cookies from their mix were very tasty. We even gave them out to the neighbors with our holiday goodie gifts because they passed my husbands taste test. I love that our neighbors got gluten free and didn’t even know it! :)

The Homemade Wonderful Bread Mix was very good! It was thick and delicious after just coming out of the oven. We enjoyed the bread hot with butter as well as later as a side to soup. This bread could be served to family and friends whether living gluten free or not.

Bob’s Red Mill GF cornbread is awesome! We lather it in honey butter and enjoy each thick delicious bite. Again, we have served this to friends and family who don’t eat gluten free whom have loved it. The smooth corn flavor was not too sweet but just sweet enough.

The pizza crust is very fluffy and thick. If you like a thick, delicious slice of pizza then you are going to love Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free pizza crust. I found that you could also use a little water on your hands and thin the dough out over a larger baking sheet and make a thinner crust pizza if that is what you prefer. Either way, it is a tasty way to enjoy pizza again!

I used the shortbread mix in a Christmas cookie recipe, my Bob’s Red Mill Candycane Shortbread. This recipe can easily be substituted with any of your favorite hard candies. It is a very versatile mix that makes the creative process of baking, very open. I love it! (If you create something great with this mix, please send it to me and I will highlight you!)

Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free All-purpose flour is a great for so many things. My husband and I LOVE this flour for our fried onions, which go great with my favorite green bean casserole recipe, and fried chicken. It makes the best breading. It is also great as a baking solution for traditional flour. I used it in many of my cookie recipes that I just loved! Some of my favorites were the Strawberries and Cream Cookie Sandwiches and thePecan Cookie Melts. Yum! (Do remember that this mix includes garbanzo bean flour, so you aren’t going to want to eat the raw cookie dough. It tastes a little different until baked, then it is very good! :))

Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free products have also been featured in the renowned, Babycakes cookbook. If you are ever in NYC you HAVE to try these great products!!! They make you see why Bob’s Red Mill can be so delicious! :) We were lucky enough to feature their Chocolate Chip cookie recipe during our25 Days of Christmas Cookies event. If you missed it, here is the link.

  6. I love all things “Bob’s”! I used their cornbread mix for my stuffing this past November, and it turned out so well that my husband is drying out the bread right now to use for our Christmas dinner tomorrow night. I made cookies for my dad’s wedding using the All purpose flour, and I don’t think anyone could tell they weren’t gluten free. I used their pizza crust mix to make pizza for my dad’s wedding rehearsal dinner (my dad is GF as well) & there were quite a few that preferred my homemade pizza to the pizzas from Hungry Howie’s!
I love using their website to access all of their recipes, especially since you can find them based on the mix you bought. I often find Bob’s items (mainly the cornbread mix) at my local Big Lots for a lot cheaper. They usually have Bob’s GF oats as well, for those who can tolerate GF oats.
And I love their Mighty Tasty cereal for breakfast as well. It isn’t quite the same as oatmeal, but it’s good in a pinch.
