25 Days of Christmas Giveaways…Gluten Free of Course! Event #23 GFF Books Bazzar!!!

DaCapo Press Cookbooks is a leading publisher of gluten free books. They offer a great variety so you can choose just the right one for you. In addition to gluten free books they also offer a huge variety of cookbooks in general. You can go to one site and find your gluten free cookbook while also being able to shop for your friends and families who don’t have dietary restrictions but sure do love cookbooks! We have reviewed multiple DeCapo Press Cookbooks plus the awesome Blackbird Bakery. Here is what we thought.

Gluten Free in Five Minutes- Gluten free in 5 minutes, really? Yes! With this brand new book, Gluten Free in 5 Minutes, you can enjoy all your favorites in single or multiple servings and in less than five minutes! The key is many of them are made in the microwave, which usually isn’t my preferred means of cooking, however, in times of real speedy cooking it does the job. This book includes everything from luscious cakes to tasty breads. This really is a great book for those who are constantly on the go and only have time to stop and fix something for themselves in just a few minutes time. I especially think it is a fitting cookbook for college students and those traveling. Any college student can make most of the recipes featured in the book. Not only are the recipes fast, but they are tasty too. The author, Robyn Ryberg, got the ingredients right when developing the recipes. She balanced flavors very well. The ingredients can be tricky if you don’t always keep purees in your house or baby food but they can easily be purchased or made. Since I don’t use the microwave much, I will be making them minimally but I know there are readers out there who would just love tasty baked goods in less than 5 minutes so…

Gluten Free on a Shoestring- Cheap and easy…gluten free?! Yes, it is possible with this great book by Nicole Hunn. She will teach you how to make dishes for every meal including dessert while on a budget. With the shock of gluten free food prices, this is one for every person living gluten free!

Gluten Free Makeovers- Everyone has a favorite recipe. With this book, you can learn how to “makeover” the best of them to become gluten free. There are so many great recipes including many favorite classics. This is a great cookbook for those wanting traditional foods made gluten free! Beth Hilson is the founder of Gluten Free Pantry and really knows her gluten free stuff. This book includes everything from recipes, to preparations and gluten free kitchen to information on gluten free living.

Free For All Cooking- Gluten-free cooking queen, Jules E. Dowler Shepard delivers a wonderful cookbook full of 125 recipes free of all the top allergens including egg, gluten, dairy, soy and nuts without compromising flavor and presentation. Jules is our gluten free sweetheart who has shown us time and time again that she knows how to bake. Let her teach you or secrets with this wonderful gluten free cookbook.

Blackbird Bakery- This is the other wonderful book we recently had the great pleasure of reviewing. This cookbook is the ultimate in gluten free class. Think decadent desserts like, made-from-scratch cream puffs and tarts. Not only are the recipes just so unigue and exciting but the photography alone in this book is absolutely amazing! Hands down, the best photographs in a cookbook I have ever seen. The photos were edgy and modern with a culinary whimsy that I have never seen before. If these pictures don’t get you in the kitchen, I don’t know what will. Sit back and enjoy a hot cup of gluten free cocoa or tea while looking through this amazing cookbook. This is the perfect gluten free holiday or birthday gift. Among being named as the BEST gluten free cookbook of 2010 by January Magazine, Blackbird Bakery was also hand selected to be a part of the 53rd Grammy Awards VIP party! The author, Karen Morgan, truly did an amazing job creating this lovely gluten free cookbook. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
