Reviews: Contes Pasta & Pizza, Mrs. Crimbles, Kinnikinnick and Favorite Dessert Made Gluten Free Cookbook

We recently enjoyed reviewing the following products. Each was great in their own way. It is always so fun to be introduced to great gluten free products and share them with our readers. Enjoy!

Contes Pasta & Pizza:
We received the cheese raviolis, Potato Gnocchi and the Margarita Pizza for review. YUM! would sum up these amazing foods. I could hardly believe just how great each one tasted! The dough was perfect on both the ravioli and the gnocchi. They were each flavorful and delicious. I topped the cheese ravioli with red sauce for a classic favorite, but also thought of adding a little cream sauce, sausage and sage for a more new age comfort food. The gnocchi was delicious with a little brown butter and sea salt. Again, yum!!!

The Margarita pizza was very good. The crust got just crispy enough when baked but not too much that it became a cracker pizza. The sauce and toppings tasted fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it just as it came as well as with additional toppings. We decided to make an evening out of our Contes pizza review by having a pizza picnic in our living room. Our little 2 and a half year old LOVED it! It is now a monthly tradition to do a family room picnic. Thank Contes for that!

Mrs. Crimbles:
These crisp crackers came in a great variety of flavors including Sun dried Tomato and Pesto, Rosemary and Onion and Original Cheese. We loved that each could be eaten well on its own or with other delicious toppings such a cream cheese, lunch meat or olives. The mini original cheese bites were our favorite! They were crunchy and very tasty. My little boy also loved them. The bag was the perfect size for taking on the road. Mrs. Crimbles also offers a large variety of cakes, mixes and muffins that are gluten free so be sure to try those as well!

Kinnikinnick:
Kinnikinnick never fails to deliver great gluten free products. The pumpkin spice donuts we recently reviewed were delicious. They are festive and perfect for the holidays. Dunk them quickly in hot cider or wassail and enjoy an even more flavorful bite. The size is just right to fill your sweet snack craving while not weighing you down too much.

Montana Chocolate Chip cookies and S’morables Graham Style Crackers were also delicious. The chocolate chip were crispy and full of great chocolate flavor. They held up well to being dipped in cold milk. Add a little vanilla ice cream in between two cookies and enjoy an ice cream sandwich. The S’morables had the most amazing graham flavor. I have been craving a really good graham cracker for a long time now and was so happy that Kinnikinnick not only delivered one, but did it so well! Add some chocolate and a toasted marshmallow and you have a delicious gluten free s’more…yum!

Favorite Dessert Made Gluten Free Cookbook:
This fun little cookbook featured many classic desserts including the authors version of a Hostess Twinkie and Cupcake. Many we have all been hoping to make gluten free. With lots of pictures to help guide you to what the final product should look like this more detailed recipe book that often requires the mixing of flours, can be used by many, not just the practiced baker. For $15 you can own this book for yourself.
