The Gluten Effect Book Giveaway!!!

What a wonderful book for anyone suffering from celiac disease or gluten sensitivities! I know that for myself books like The Gluten Effect that really help me understand more in depth why it is important for me to continue living this lifestyle even when it is hard, is an excellent gift. This book will help you feel more confident in the lifestyle you are living as well as help you to have a deeper understanding of your symptoms. If you or someone you know has celiac disease or gluten sensitivities I suggest investing in this book. It will be worth it. Here is a little more about the book directly from the website.

Exhaustion, obesity, digestive problems, headaches and depression: If you suffer from any of these symptoms the cause might well be found in what’s on your plate. Yes, it could be the food you eat.

Specifically, the problem may be gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye and barley that is emerging as a key factor behind a variety of health problems affecting millions of Americans.

Now, in The Gluten Effect, Drs. Vikki and Richard Petersen are exposing the dangers gluten poses and, using the celebrated HealthNOW Method, providing the path to good health for those with gluten sensitivity.

Stop suffering! Find out if a simple change in diet will completely restore your health and give you back the robust lifestyle you deserve.

This book is of interest to me because there is SO MUCH I don't know about being G-Free or the ramifications my dietary choices have on my overall health. I didn't realize until I linked to the website that eating “G” can cause depression?!

This book sounds fascinating! For various health reasons, I keep having to ditch gluten, but I don't completely understand the why behind it. (Also, since I'm feeding a family of 6 I keep returning to wheat for expense reasons, even though I never feel as good. Maybe if I really understood it I'd feel more resolute about ditching gluten for good!)

P.S. The link under your mandatory entry information leads to Amy's foods…not the G Effect! The second link worked!

This book looks great because it would help me understand being gluten free, how to eat and what foods are best. I already subscribe to GFF.

  12. I thought I had left a comment, but I don't see it!

I'm a follower of your blog and I also am a fan of Vikki Petersen. I am new to being g-free and would love to read her book to learn so much more about being gluten-free and why it is important.

My family isn't g-free… so the more I know… hopefully, the easier it will be to comply!

  13. This book looks interesting to read. I haven't read one in quite some time. I gave up on the books and the info quite some time ago and started eating simple and plain as much as possible. It is time for my to bone up and brush up on the possibilities. As I have started to try new things again that are gluten free. It is something that might pass on to my son. So I need to check into it and keep more up to date. Interesting blog. I have never visited before. Thanks for the chance to win. Enjoy! Chris cdurnan@visualdesignsbychris.com

I just became sensitive to gluten and I am still learning about this, so I think the book would be great for me to read.

This book looks awesome for the simple fact that I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and she was afraid she was never going to be able to eat some of her favorite foods again but it seems that there are plenty of alternative recipes so she can keep on enjoying her favorites. She would love this.

Hi, I am already a GFF follower. I would love to read this book because I am thought to be gluten intolerant and even though I have been on a gluten free diet for over 6 months, I still have a lot of pains and issues. I would love to read about some of the secondary health problems they talk about.

Hi, I visited the Gluten Effect website. I like that the authors are Drs. It's nice to see that some doctors know a lot about the gluten issues and want to help those of us suffering from problems created by it.
