Nutmeg Banana Bread

I love nutmeg. Period. It is my favorite spice, especially when it is fresh ground! I am completing a recipe request for banana bread for a certain Miss Melaleuca mom. This is a great recipe because it has an earthly, fall flavor with the added nutmeg. To make this bread into cranberry bread or another sweet bread you like just exchange bananas for whatever you would like. I sure hope you all love this as much as I do. I almost hope the bananas I buy don’t get eaten so I can make this! 🙂

1 3/4 c. Pamela’s Baking Mix (or another GF flour blend+ 1 tsp. baking soda, Pamela’s doesn’t need the baking soda)
4 Tbls. raw or organic butter
1/3 c. agave or honey
2 cage-free, organic eggs
2 ripe bananas
1/2 tsp. gluten free vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
dash of Real Salt

*Combine ingredients, bananas last. Pour into a coconut oiled loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. or until toothpick in center comes out clean.

  2. Yummy! I can't wait to try this one. I like buying a LOT of bananas when I'm at the store, just so I can let half of them ripen, and throw 'em in the freezer 🙂
