About & Contact Information

Hey everyone! My name is Chandice Probst. I am so lucky to have the 3 most amazing guys in my home with me; my wonderful and incredibly patient hubby, and my oh-so-adorable little boys.
I found out in May of 2006 that I have celiac disease or in other words, I have an autoimmune disease that causes me to have extreme reactions to gluten. Sadly, I am not the only one in my family with Celiac disease. My mom was diagnosed (luckily for me) about three months before I was. She has provided me with so much support with everything from using the right gluten free flours to helping me create new recipes. I love that we have each other always but at Thanksgiving especially! 🙂

A little more about me. First and foremost, I am a gluten-free junkie! I LIVE to eat not eat to live. Food brings me joy and I love finding the best food out there that I can eat.

I am the CEO and Director of Events for Gluten Free Calendar. I makes sure each GFC hosted event is a blast for all in attendance and maintains the day to day running of the company with the help of my incredibly talented software developer husband, Josh, who created the Gluten Free Calendar site, along with our amazing business partners.
In 2009, I decided more support was needed locally so I founded the Celiac Disease Foundation Arizona East Valley Chapter and am now President of that. I am lucky to serve on the board with amazing people who help make this organization as great as it is.
In addition to enjoying time with my best friend and husband, and our two boys, I also loves teaching Pilates, cycling and aqua aerobics at The Phoenician Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ as well as learning all I can about natural living. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Health Wellness and Certificate in Spa Management from Arizona State University.
I also enjoys humanitarian work within my Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward. My husband and I just happen to own an online boutique, Diaperstyle, which specializes in modern cloth diapering and natural mom and baby products, all of which are gluten free!
I have been so blessed to be featured on ABC 15 Sonoran Living Live, 3TV Your Life A to Z and Channel 12 Arizona Midday as well as in print publications Women’s World and The Arcadian Journal. “I look forward to the exciting adventures ahead in creating more awareness in the gluten free and celiac communities. The wonderful people in this community deserve it!”
Feel free to email me at glutenfreefrenzy (at) gmail (dot) com directly for any questions you may have!

My goal with this site is to create a gathering place for anyone looking to live a gluten-free lifestyle without eliminating any of their favorite foods. I will do everything I can to provide you with a gluten-free recipe for all the yummiest and most popular foods as well as get you all the FREE gluten free loot that I can!

    Hi Chandice,

I am an exercise junkie. Running, biking, skate skiing, core training etc. I was excited to read you blog. Pamela's Products are also my favorite. I love her bread mix and bagels. Keep up the GREAT work. Don 801-791-6568

I just stumbled across your site this morning and I'm SO excited to have found it. I'm 30 yrs old and have Lupus, Fibromyalgia and Celiac, so as you can see I have my hands full with all of my illnesses. I don't let them keep me down (when I can help it) and love to bake and try out new recipes for my husband, who also has Celiac disease, and me. I've tried a number of fabulous gluten free baking products, but I've never had the opportunity to try Nana's Lemon Dream Cookie Bites. They sound super delicious, as do all of their cookie treats, and perfect to satisfy my sweet tooth 🙂 I'm so excited to have found this site and will surely visit it quite often. It would make my day to win one of the qive-a-ways too! Lovin' it!

  10. I would love to win this book; as I am from and Italian background and for some reason my relatives think that I can just take the burger off of the bun; or pick the croutons out of a salad. I want to become better educated and perhaps lend the book out to some of them so that they truly will understand the depth of this disease and not look at me like I have two heads 🙂

Happily living gluten, soy and dairy free.

  11. I am so excited to find a gluten free bakery!! I love baking myself and have been craving a cinnamon roll- the one at Gluten Free Creations looks amazing!! Is there a support group that meets regularly? It my daughters birthday this next week and I have really debated how to approach the gluten free thing…

  12. I am a follower on Facebook and this is the 1st time I've entered for one of our giveaways. I REALLY would love this cookbook! I lived gluten free for 15 months and, in June, decided to take the next leap into the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) and go completely grain free. I can't tell you how much it has helped me in just 2 short months. Almond flour is a staple for me now and I so would love the cookbook!

  13. Here's what I learned about Elana: She ran a company called ecosav and designed recycling and waste analysis programs for her clients and saved them a good deal of money in the process.

  14. Karmin Karmin

I've been following your blog for awhile now. Just wanted to say that I appreciate it and all of your suggestions, recipes, food knowledge, and food recommendations. My son was diagnosed with severe food allergies (including, but not limited to, wheat and corn) in January 2010, so overnight I had to become an expert in reading food labels and creating food alternatives! His allergens cause Celiac-ish reactions, rather than anaphylaxis, so he has similar struggles as Celiacs in that people look at him on the outside and think he's just fine. If he ingests a tiny bit, “Well, it was only a LITTLE.” I appreciate having others who understand; in fact, since I don't have any allergies or sensitivities, I suppose I can't even fully understand how it feels. I just know the screaming, writhing pain and GI symptoms that tell me it is nothing I ever want to experience or expose him to again.

All that to say, THANKS! I am not a giveaway enter-er by nature, but I enjoy reading your reviews, so if I want to make a purchase I know which ones to try! I'm sure I'll eventually enter a giveaway, too.

Now that I've had plenty of time to get used to my son's new diet, I am starting to transition my entire family to GF (really, wheat-free) rather than always making 2 versions of the same meal every day. Since we CAN eat anything, it's nice to not NEED to eat a different meal than him. We aren't missing ANYTHING in flavor by eating GF, and I have learned quite a few tricks that keep food costs down for us, too! Phew!

  15. Chandice, I sent you an email about this but have not heard a reply from you….I was sent the wrong book from the publisher of the Cake Doctor GF book…they sent me a baby book about a child's second year of life instead of the Cake Doctor Bakes Gluten Free like I was supposed to receive as my prize. Can you look into this for me? I have no clue how to contact them to correct the mistake!

  16. Oh my gosh, Candice! It IS you! I saw a pin of your birthday freebies links, and I thought, “That's not Candice is it? I think I went to High School with her!”

Not only that, but I know McKella from Weber:) She's a good friend. Love the blog!

  17. Candice,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and first-hand experience on going gluten-free. Please allow me to help you take that extra step — go organic.

My family and I formed Edison Grainery to remove the stigma that only the elite are eligible to eat organic. Since we are the first hands in what often becomes a long daisy chain of producers, manufactures, distributors, and storeowners, we wondered what would happen if we joined hands and offered organic ingredients in 16 oz., #5, and #25 bags directly to busy parents at extremely competitive prices.

Our family business is third party certified organic and gluten-free. Because I also have been diagnosed with celiac disease, we test products like Oats and Barley for cross-contamination at 10 ppm (20 ppm is industry norm).

We don’t look the same and its okay. We prefer it that way. Our commitment to bring you the finest, organic products extends to the way we package each ingredient. Currently our retail line comes in a backyard compostable rice bag. These bags feature a reclosable zipper and tear notch. The pouches standup in your pantry and a clear window lets you know when its time to reorder. As the packaging industry responds to our demands for a green shelf stable product, we’ll continue our quest to source the most earth friendly packaging.

Whether your basket is full of pantry basics or cutting-edge superfoods, orders of $40 will arrive to your front door, free! Mix and Match from our eight categories.

If any of our items tickle your taste buds, put them to the test. Let us know what ingredients pique your interest and where to send them. Please no P.O. Box address.
